This project is intended to benefit many stakeholders. The beneficiaries will be market actors (such as private sector players) interested in creating direct links with small-scale producers and who stand to benefit from increased trade (along with reduced transaction costs of doing trade) in the country and EAC region;
- national government who is responsible for implementing trade policy, agriculture and food security policy and systemic issues on agricultural and rural development to alleviate poverty, especially among small-scale farmers, in the country
- producers/farmers who are interested in improving their productivity and having better access to efficient markets, and producer/farmer organisations (especially KSSF) who are supposed to work better for their members
- non-governmental organisations (NGOs) working for the rural poor; and, researchers working to understand and support processes aimed at greater agricultural productivity and market participation of small-scale producers
